If your photos are not publishing on our feed, but your blog is. That is, if everything is there alongside a blank space where your photo should be, there is a fair chance that you are publishing from a Wordpress Site.
UPDATE- if your template does not allow "featured images" there are several Wordpress plugins which can be used to achieve the same thing. Search for "Featured Images - RSS" plugin.
there wordpress themes that just doesn't support featured images. :(
ReplyDeleteYes, sadly.
ReplyDeleteI have set up a test blog using the same theme as you, and can't even get it to feed full-sized pictures!
One of the great things about Wordpress is that there are enormous numbers of themes available and many of them DO support featured images. I'm sure you can find one that has a similar feel.
Perhaps it's worth writing to the designer of your theme to ask him to include them - it's not a difficult thing to do, but I suspect that that feature is reserved for the "premium" templates in his range.
I do hope you can resolve it soon, and am sorry that there's nothing I can do from this end.
Peter
Thanks Peter, will have to find some other theme that supports "featured image". But I still don't see my blog on the portal though... I've even tried to make "show full article" on my feed settings. Hope this will help if I try to use a new theme.
DeleteThe first problem is solved - the one about you not being on the portal at all! All the best with finding a theme you like and getting it to work - we'll do what we can if you get stuck.

thanks Peter, I've made changes on my blog and it's now working on the portal... Yipee! maybe setting the feed to "show full article" also helped. so whatever, I'm glad this worked and thanks for your help. :)
DeleteExcellent!
ReplyDeleteCan you tell me exactly what you did?
I can't find the setting on my version of the template, and it would be good to have clear instructions for others to follow in future. I'm so glad that's one more we can see!
Peter
very simple, on the blog's left side of the dashboard:
Delete1. scroll down to settings
2. click on reading
3. tick "full text" instead of the default "summary" under "for each article in a feed, show"
4. and then save changes
the theme has nothing to do about the feed setting, but the "featured image" is something you can only find on certain themes, mostly the recently built ones. hope this helps.
Great! The changes are welcome and very good. It was a little difficult to find the way to "featured photo" in WP panel, but I got it. Thanks and congratulations for your hard work.
ReplyDeleteThat's terrific Luiz, thanks for sorting it!
